just joined, not sure what this is about, but it seems interesting. I just started golfing about 7 years ago at the age 38. not very good but very addicted. wish we had better weather. I golf mostly at The Emerald in Maple Creek.just North of St.Johns

Nov. 15th-opening day of whitetail firearm season, I got my buck by 8:00,..and played a round at Crystal Lake G.C. in Beulah in the afternoon. Can it get any better than that ??...lol...Benzie county is a golf mecca in N.W. lower Mich. Area public courses in the immediate area - Pinecroft golf, Champion hill, Crystal Mt. resort with 2 courses,..Interlochen golf, Mistwood w/ three- championship 9's, Chestnut Hills ' The Nut ' and Bear Lake County Highlands, both in Bear Lake. And then there is my favorite, Crystal lake G.C. Come to benzie County for spring golf. Stay-n-play pkgs available.

If you are looking for somewhere to play this fall. Come to the UP and play Greywalls in Marquette, Timberstone in Iron Mountain and Sweetgrass in Escanaba. There are packages to play all three with lodging at reasonable prices. The courses are in great condition and we welcome visitors from below the bridge (Trolls) to the UP.
